  • How does the Radio Bookmark work?

The Radio Bookmark simply captures the time of day and stores it in memory. Since it is not an audio recorder, you do not have to worry about loud background noises, being too far from the radio, or anything else. Just press the button. Then later, when you are ready to listen to your bookmarks, simply plug the Radio Bookmark into an available USB port on your computer. Since we know what was playing on your local station at any point during the day, your bookmarks allow us to display what you were listening to! The program, story, author, and even where you were at within the story. It’s as easy as that! You will get the entire story replayed at your convenience and in perfect clarity. For more information, please visit Learn More.

  • What are the two buttons for?

The larger button will allow you to bookmark a story for your primary station. The second smaller button will bookmark a story and mark it as a favorite on your personal web page. Or it can also be used to create a bookmark for a second station. In your settings page, you can configure a separate radio station for each button. So when you hear a story on station A, press the "1" button. Then if you hear a story on station B, press the "2" button. When your bookmarks are uploaded, they will display for the correct station. The Radio Bookmark supports many of your favorite public radio programs and music. It will display the program’s web page and play the audio for stories or display the song and playlist for a piece of music on your personal bookmark page! In the event that a program is not directly supported by the Radio Bookmark, we will still display the time that your bookmark was created and provide a link to the program’s web page. You can then manually select the program’s audio link to replay the story.

  • What does the message "Audio Not Automatically Replayed" mean?

The message "Audio Not Automatically Replayed" is displayed in the Radio Bookmark Player for the few shows when we do not have direct access to the audio for the program. For some music programs, we are unable to replay the songs due to copyright restrictions. However we will display the song title or playlist for the day so you are able to identify the song you were listening to. The songs are typically available through many music services, such as Arkiv, Amazon, or iTunes. For certain programs, the audio is available on the displayed web page, so please manually press "Play" or "Listen" as appropriate for the program.
